What will happen after the workshop?
During the workshop, it was announced that the Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) and AGISEE, the Association for Geospatial Information in South-East Europe have established a cooperative relationship to promote the importance of open standards in the development of spatial data infrastructures and raise the awareness of interoperability in South-East Europe. A press release is published on the web site of the Open Geospatial Consortium.
OGC and AGISEE are building up a group of people from countries in South-East Europe who are interested in standardisation for the geospatial domain.
Therefore, a mailing list has been established on issues related to geospatial technology and standards and we invite you to join the mailing list. The purpose of this mailing list is:
- to inform the members of the mailing list about issues of standardisation in the geospatial and related domains;
- to inform about new developments, innovation and standards implementation;
- to provide a forum for the exchange of information and experience, for questions and answers.
The ultimate purpose is to create a group of people who like to work together to advance innovation and use of standards in the geospatial
domain and also to present the interest and requirements of this group to international standardisation.
We invite you to access
the web page of the mailing list and register there to the mailing list. Soon you will receive the first mails and we would be happy to enter into a dialogue with you.
The mailing list would be run in English to enable participation from other countries. Posts in national language are nevertheless welcome.
The list is established by the Open Geospatial Consortium and is moderated both by the OGC Europe
and AGISEE, the Association for Geospatial Information in South-East Europe.
More activities will be carried out in the future and we will inform you on time on any new action, on this web site or via the mailing list.
